Despite his size, Matt quickly gets out of his stance and positions himself well for pass blocking. He consistently maintains good body position and leverage, allowing him to adjust his blocks while on the move with ease. (8.9)
Playing Strength/Use of Hands/Punch – Matt demonstrates good functional strength when making contact during play. He effectively lowers his hips to resist bull rushers and possesses strong hands to firmly grip defenders with his hands within his frame. Matt shows great foot quickness and playing speed to pull and get outside very fast to make blocks on defenders. Matt shows the ability to work the double team block to the second level with the agility to sustain second level blocks. Matt has the quickness to pull and get outside, and when he stays on his feet, he can adjust his block well in space. (8.9)
