Dear College Coaches,

I am reaching out to share my college goals and dreams as a student-athlete aiming to thrive in sports media and football, with the big dream of playing in the NFL. Football has been my passion, driving me to constantly learn, grow, and challenge myself to be the best I can be.

Playing as a wide receiver, I grasp the intricacies of the game beyond just catching the ball. I take pride in being a versatile player who not only excels in catching and blocking but also in creating opportunities for my team to succeed. My ability to predict plays, read the game strategically, and adjust my position accordingly allows me to make impactful movements on the field.

Communication and teamwork are key elements of how I play. I believe in uplifting and encouraging my teammates, fostering a positive team spirit based on unity and collaboration.

I am a player who values discipline, dedication, and respect for the sport. I am punctual for practices and meetings, showcasing a positive mindset and a drive to succeed. Apart from regular practices, I put in extra work to enhance my skills, analyze game tapes, and seek guidance from coaches to improve continuously.

What makes me stand out as a prospective member of your team is my willingness to learn, ability to adapt to various positions, and my strong adherence to the rules both on and off the field. I uphold the principles of sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for everyone involved in the game, embodying the true essence of football in all my actions.

I am thrilled at the chance to bring my skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to your program and contribute to the team’s success. Thank you for considering me as a potential asset to your college football team.

Final Grade – Overall Score = (7.67)

Athletic Ability /Explosiveness/Playing Speed

Jayden can develop into an exceptional athlete for his size. He is a smooth, fluid route runner who builds speed effectively rather than relying on sudden, immediate acceleration. He shows exceptional body control, balance, and separation speed, allowing him to consistently create space as a receiver. Jayden also demonstrates strong field awareness, with the ability to read coverage and adjust his routes on the fly. After the catch, he becomes a dangerous playmaker—capable of making defenders miss while displaying explosiveness as a ball carrier. (7.5)

Hands/ Ability to Adjust and Make Tough Catches

Jayden has excellent hands and consistently extends to catch the ball away from his body. He does an excellent job securing catches in traffic, quickly tucking the ball away while absorbing contact and maintaining possession. He uses his body effectively to shield defenders and protect the football, making him a reliable target in contested situations. Jayden is especially dangerous on fade routes, where he can use his body control and explosive breakaway speed to create separation and finish plays downfield. (7.3)

Route Running/Ability to Get Open/Separation

Jayden is a fluid, polished route runner who can threaten defenses vertically on every snap, making him a constant big-play threat. He shows a strong understanding of coverage, consistently beating both press and zone while creating separation. Jayden does an excellent job extending his hands to the football in all situations, showing reliability as a pass catcher. He plays through the whistle, never stopping on his routes and consistently working to maximize each play by taking what the defense gives him. His ability to adjust, compete, and finish makes him a dependable and dangerous offensive weapon. (8.0)

 Run After Catch Ability/Elusiveness/Home-Run Speed

Jayden executes the rocket screen with ease, showing patience as he allows his blockers to develop downfield. He uses his vision and speed effectively to find space after the catch and get upfield quickly. He can make multiple defenders miss to extend plays and pick up first downs after short receptions. Jayden also displays good toughness when running through traffic, not shying away from contact. He shows a strong understanding of defensive concepts, recognizing leverage and knowing where to attack within the defense to maximize each play. (7.9)

Release off LOS vs Air/Release off LOS vs Jam.

Jayden’s quick feet allow him to accelerate to top speed efficiently. He has the strength and athleticism to be effective when releasing against press coverage, using his hands well to disengage from defenders at the line of scrimmage. He consistently finds ways to get open and shows a deceptive release, whether facing press or zone. His ability to vary his tempo and technique off the line makes him a difficult matchup for defenders. (7.0)

Blocking On/Near LOS/Down Field

Jayden is a competitive and physical blocker who consistently finishes running plays, even after the ball carrier has crossed into the end zone. He uses his size and body positioning effectively to shield defenders and maintain leverage. Most impressive is his perimeter blocking, which is often the most challenging for a receiver. Jayden does an excellent job sustaining blocks in space for extended periods without drawing penalties, highlighting his discipline, strength, and technique. (8.5)

Toughness/Catching Passes in Traffic

Jayden shows impressive strength, toughness, and power for his size at the position. He competes aggressively for the ball in the air, consistently battling to win contested catches. After the catch, he runs with purpose and determination, working hard to break tackles and gain additional yardage. His physicality and competitive nature make him a difficult player to bring down in space. (7.5)

Strong Points

Jayden’s major strengths include:

  1. His ability as a perimeter blocker, combined with the toughness and willingness to do the dirty work on every play.
  2. His playmaking ability, using his size and quickness on screen plays to generate extra yardage, while also possessing the explosiveness to stretch the field and be a serious threat on any snap.
  3. His dynamic impact on special teams, making him a true all-around player. His versatility allows him to get more touches, and the more opportunities he has with the ball, the more likely he is to produce scoring plays.
