Coach’s Evaluation

Eval from Jerry Flora (National Recruiter) – Derek is a good overall athlete with excellent initial quickness from his stance at the snap. With his speed and quickness off the ball he has the ability to play from both a 2 and 3 point stance. Derek plays physical with his hands and shows good strength at the point of attack as both a run and pass defender. Derek shows great competitive instincts but more impressive has incredible burst off the ball getting pressure on the QB. I project Derek to play at least D2 with the possibility of FCS finding the right fit for his athletic ability.
