Former College/High School Head Football Coach
Offensive Coordinator/St Thomas Aquinas College – Collegiate Sprint Football League

Final Grade – 7.97 increased to 8.12 (From Eval in Feb 2025)

Athletic Ability/Flexibility/Agility/Explosiveness/Body Type – Ayden is an exceptional athlete for his size in the Class of 2026. His athletic build has allowed him to be a highly productive interior force. He has good footwork and, combined with his snap anticipation, can get off the ball quickly and make contact with offensive linemen first. His athletic ability is highlighted by his performance at the Western Connecticut Prospect Showcase, where he finished as the #2-ranked prospect, scoring a 66.0 on the Zybek Sports Power Index. This Power Index, developed by Zybek Sports, combines an athlete’s performance in various tests with their height and weight to evaluate overall athleticism. It standardizes athletic performance and provides national rankings for athletes, which helps them compare themselves to peers and assists college coaches in recruitment. Ayden’s score placed him just below Elias Murray, who achieved a score of 66.1 at the same showcase and has already received an offer from Wagner College for the Class of 2026. The Zybek Power Index score is based on a baseline established by Jadeveon Clowney, who participated in the 2013 NFL Combine and scored a 92. (9.5)

Play Against the Run – Ayden has consistently demonstrated strong performance against the run. He effectively handles 1-on-1 run blocks from offensive linemen and is solid at the point of attack. By keeping his knees bent, he maintains good leverage and uses his hands effectively to disengage from blockers. Ayden is capable of shaking off blockers and making tackles on inside runs directed at him. He showcases quick hands and feet, enabling him to defeat offensive linemen’s run blocks with swift slaps and arm-over moves. Additionally, he has a good burst of speed to reach the ball and make tackles. According to Zybek Sports, Ayden ranks in the 75th percentile in weight compared to other linemen his age, and his performance grade is among the best in the country. (8.5)

Initial Quickness/Gap Shooting Ability – Ayden consistently demonstrates an impressive ability to quickly get off the ball when the play starts, allowing him to make contact with the offensive lineman first. This gives him a leverage advantage, often enabling him to break free from blockers and disrupt the play. Additionally, when he takes an upfield step from his stance, it becomes difficult for an offensive guard to contain him. According to Zybek Sports data, Ayden ranks in the 80th percentile for the Pro Agility test compared to other defensive linemen in his class and age group nationwide. He achieved times of 5.20 seconds and 5.01 seconds, with the latter being the high-water mark across the country. (7.5)

Pass Rush Ability/Variety of Pass Rush Moves/Hands Use – When Ayden maintains a strong pad level and aggressively rushes the passer, he has the potential to be an exceptional pass rusher for his size as a defensive tackle. His strength enables him to jolt pass blockers backward with an explosive punch, pushing them into the pocket and allowing him to apply pressure on quarterbacks. He demonstrated power with his bull rush, as well as quickness and strength with his club swim moves. (7.5)

Run/Pass Recognition/Instincts/Awareness –  Ayden possesses an instinct that enables him to react swiftly and make plays in various situations. He can anticipate the play, is not easily deceived by misdirection or fakes, and is quick to read and reach the ball. (7.9)

Pursuit/Tackling/Hitting Ability/Closing Burst -Ayden, who weighs 280 pounds, is remarkably skilled at pursuing plays. He easily breaks free from blockers, navigates through traffic with ease, and possesses excellent chase speed. (7.9)

Scheme Versatility/Competitiveness/Durability/Endurance – Ayden has a solid build and excels at using leverage effectively. His strength and athleticism enable him to be a productive defensive tackle in any scheme. He is a highly competitive player who demonstrates a strong work ethic, hustling, and pursuing ball carriers relentlessly. He has consistently made numerous tackles downfield in the games evaluated. (8.1)

Strong Points – Ayden is an exceptionally athletic defensive tackle, known for his quick footwork, agility, playing speed, and explosive closing burst—all qualities that college teams highly value. His score of 66 in Zybek’s Sports Power Index demonstrates that he possesses the complete package, whether as an interior offensive or defensive lineman. When Ayden plays with good leverage, he shows the strength to anchor against one-on-one run blocks from offensive linemen, and he is skilled at disengaging to make or disrupt plays on runs directed at him. He also excels at shedding blockers on outside runs. Ayden has a rare combination of size and athletic ability that makes him a strong candidate for inside positions in various schemes at the next level. In addition to his physical attributes, coaches at summer camps praised Ayden for his work ethic, leadership skills, and exceptional coachability.
