Final Grade – 7.76

Athletic Ability – Jaden is a deceptively athletic back who was consistently productive at New Fairfield High School. Despite his size, Jaden shows excellent foot quickness and agility while making quick cuts. He is a versatile back who can catch the ball both from the backfield and in the slot within the offensive system. Jaden shows the ability to bounce runs outside while displaying the power to run between the tackles. He has the speed to turn the corner and accelerate in situations that are needed. (7.8)

Inside Run/Tackle Breaking/Vision – Arterberry is a strong inside runner who exhibits the ability to break through arm tackles and hard hits. He effectively lowers his shoulders to make himself a smaller target while delivering powerful blows on defenders. Jaden demonstrates great vision to find the running lanes and the quickness to make sharp cuts and get through the second level of the defense. He displays excellent instincts and vision to locate open holes in traffic while remaining productive in his play. (7.7)

Outside Running/Cut Back Ability/Vision – Jaden excels in his running game by swiftly maneuvering to the outside and evading defenders. His agility allows him to redirect runs to the outside when the middle is congested, and his sharp instincts help him locate openings on the backside. Jaden adeptly follows his blockers on the outside and effectively makes quick cuts off their blocks to create significant plays. Additionally, he demonstrates patience and excellent vision, enabling him to succeed on the perimeter and execute successful cut back runs. (7.9)

Pass Blocking/Lead Blocking – In the games analyzed within the New Fairfield offense, there were few situations where Jaden had the chance to pass protect or act as a lead blocker. However, as he adjusts to the new system at Wyoming Seminary, we hope he will have more opportunities to do so. It’s evident that he has the strength and mental toughness to be physical, whether it’s in pass protection or as a lead blocker. (7.4)

Hands/Routes/Run After the Catch/Ball Security – Jaden has shown the ability to reach out and catch throws over the middle and make tough over-the-shoulder catches. He is utilized in many passing situations, whether it’s out of the backfield, lined up in a slot, or as the main focus in the offense. He is a highly effective route runner and does a good job of getting his head and hands around quickly to catch passes that come to him fast. He is a strong, physical runner in the open field and is tough for defensive backs to cover and tackle one on one. In the games graded and evaluated, he did not fumble the ball once. (8.3)

Durability/Toughness/Playing Strength – Jaden is a highly durable running back. He can run between the tackles and catch tough passes over the middle even when double covered. He has the playing strength to consistently break arm tackles and gain yards after contact. Jaden can also run over tacklers when he lowers his shoulders and attacks the defender. (7.5)

Strong Points – Jaden is an instinctive runner with the ability to find open holes and lanes. He has a deceptive burst through the hole, very good quickness, and agility to change directions quickly. Jaden can also bounce runs outside and make tacklers miss. He is an aggressive runner who does a good job of lowering his shoulder to deliver blows to tacklers and gain yards after contact. Additionally, he has very good hands and is adept at catching the ball both out of the backfield and in the slot. Jaden is a tough and physical runner who does not shy away from contact.
