After posting an impressive performance at one of the NFL’s pro days at Wagner College in 2016, former William Paterson University wide receiver Anthony DiMarsico attended a New York Jets’ Rookie Minicamp.
The three-day minicamp will take place at the Jets’ Atlantic Health Training Center in Florham Park, N.J., providing an opportunity for undrafted free agents to try out as part of the Jets’ offseason workouts. DiMarsico will complete on-field workouts and drills amongst a number of invitees from schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Tulsa and Vanderbilt.
DiMarsico, who completed his collegiate career this past November, was a versatile member of the Pioneer offense across his three-year career with WP. Playing in 29 games and starting 26, DiMarsico tallied 86 receptions for 1,362 yards and 16 touchdowns, 101 carries for 538 yards and eight scores on the ground and passed for 1,299 yards and nine touchdowns on 97 completions. On WP’s career statistical rankings charts, DiMarsico appears in the top 10 in scoring (third, 146 points), yards/reception (tied-third, 15.8), receiving yards (fifth), all-purpose yards (sixth, 2,214), receptions (seventh), total offense (seventh, 1,837 yards) and rushing touchdowns (tied-eighth).
Anthony earned spots on the 2015 USA Football Preseason All-American First Team and 2015 Eastern Football Network Preseason First Team the following year.
DiMarsico also received an invitation from the New York Giants to their local prospect day on April 7 after posting a 4.39 40-yard dash and a 35-inch vertical at Wagner’s pro day on March 24.
