Coach Jerry Flora will host a FREE one-hour presentation and Q&A session on navigating the college recruiting process for parents and student-athletes on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 8:00 pm ET via Zoom. In his 33 years as a football coach and national recruiter, Flora has developed a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in the process of making the transition from high school athletics to playing at the collegiate level. But with so many changes taking place in recent years – from the advent of the transfer portal to sponsorship and NIL deals, the college recruiting landscape can leave many parents and players both confused and concerned.
In a live 40-minute presentation, followed by a 20-minute Q&A, Flora will cover a range of important subjects to help provide a better understanding of the college recruiting process today. Among the topics to be addressed:
- What college coaches are looking for;
- Understanding recruiting timelines;
- How to get recruited and gain exposure;
- Academics, NCAA Eligibility and Scholarships;
- The Transfer Portal and its impact on High School recruiting;
- Common mistakes made by parents and athletes;
Drawing on his years of personal experience with the college recruiting process and his wealth of deep connections in the college coaching fraternity, Flora will provide highly detailed and extremely actionable guidance on making the most of the high school years – athletically and academically – and taking the proper steps to position for next step.
